What I do
In my motivational talks I offer entertainment and education in a mix to suit the audience.
I specialise in history's great projects. My talks, titled :
The Ghosts of Project Managers Past
have gone down very very well.
I talk about unusual aspects of well-know projects including the Giza Pyramids, Great Wall, Suez, Panama, Man on the Moon, First Ascent of Everest and many others.
I also introduce fascinating but less well know projects like Abu Symbel, The Underground Churches at Lallibella, The Mulberry Harbours, Bamian and others.
This all shows the great contribution the project management profession has, and continues to deliver to humanity.
What people say
If you are new or relatively new to project management and you plan to have one book ... Project Management Demystified is the one you should have.
Martin Barnes, President of the Association of Project Management (retired)
Geoff delivered a Webinar for PMI International Development CoP audience on the topic of "Ghosts of Project Managers Past, Present And Future" and has also spoken at a PMI UK Chapter Events in the past. He is very knowledgeable in the subject and has a gripping presentation style.
“Through his inspiring presentation, Geoff demonstrated to our project management community that project management is more than just a technique, it is a profession on its own with a rich history and promising future. Every project manager can be proud to be part of this community. Geoff is a great speaker and motivator showing project managers that projects are certainly about planning, budgeting, progress tracking, etc. but more importantly that project managers can contribute with project outcomes to facilitating lives.”
